Plan a vertical comic before you generate it
Webtoon style in KoalaStudio is a reading direction, not a filter. Decide the beats per screen first.
KoalaStudio Editorial
A vertical comic is a stack of beats, not a poster cut into strips. If you paste a whole chapter and ask for “webtoon”, you get a dense page that is hard to scroll. Plan the screens around one change each.
One change per screen
- Screen 1: where we are, and who is in the scene.
- Screen 2: the line or action that breaks the calm.
- Screen 3: the reaction, held long enough to read.
- Screen 4: the turn that pushes the reader to the next episode.
Use the Webtoon style on purpose
In Story Mode, Webtoon means a vertical, clean beat. Manga, Western, Watercolor, Cyberpunk, and Noir are different staging choices. Pick Webtoon when the episode is meant to be scrolled. Do not also ask the prompt for a square print page.
Layouts that survive a phone
Prefer a single panel or a tall stack. A 2×2 grid is for a print-like screen, and it gets cramped on a phone. Leave dialogue in the dialogue field so the art can stay large.
Set the screen count to the number of beats, not the number of sentences. Four beats is a short episode. Twelve beats is a chapter.
Try it on a real scene
Paste a short story in Story Mode and review the panels before you generate images.
