Turn script beats into panels a reader can follow

A panel is a beat with a camera. Write the change, the shot size, and who is in frame before you ask for an image.

KoalaStudio Editorial

On this page
  1. Write the beat in one line
  2. Add a camera, then stop
  3. Order the beats the way the page is read

A script tells the reader what happens. A panel has to show one slice of it, from a place the camera can stand. If you skip that translation, the model draws a summary instead of a moment.

Write the beat in one line

  • Who acts.
  • What they do that a camera can see.
  • What changes by the end of the panel.

Mina stops in the bookshop doorway and sees her own name on the envelope.

Add a camera, then stop

One shot size is enough: wide to establish the shop, medium for the handoff, close on the envelope. Say eye-level unless the angle is the point. “Dynamic cinematic masterpiece” does not tell the model where to stand.

Order the beats the way the page is read

For a left-to-right comic, the first shot on a screen is the one the eye hits first. Do not put the reveal in shot 1 and the setup in shot 3. For a webtoon, stack the setup above the reveal. Story Mode will follow the order of the story you pasted, so write that order on purpose. Then build the board in Story Mode.

Try it on a real scene

Paste a short story in Story Mode and review the panels before you generate images.
